AF – Aunt Flo, Period, or Menstrual cycle
AH – Assisted Hatching
BCP – Birth Control Pills
Beta – HCG pregnancy test (blood test)
BFN – Big Fat Negative
B/W- Bloodwork
DH – Dear Husband (even when he’s not ‘dear’)
DT – Days Post-Transfer (e.g. 10dp3dt = 10 days post 3 days transfer)
Dx – Diagnosis
E2 – Estradiol
ET – Embryo Transfer
FET – Frozen Embryo Transfer
FSH – Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (e.g. Puregon, Follitism, Gonal-F, etc.)
GnRH – Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (e.g. Cetrotide, Lucrin/Lupron, ..)
HCG – Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (trigger)
HPT – Home Pregnancy Test
HSG – Hysterosalpingogram (x-ray with saline)
ICSI – Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection
IF – Infertility
IM – Intramuscular injections (a.k.a shots in the butt)
IUI – Intrauterine Insemination
IVF – In Vitro Fertilization
MC, m/c – Miscarriage
OHSS – Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome
OPK – Ovulation Predictor Kit
P4 – Progesterone
PCOS -Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
PG – Pregnant
PIO – Progesterone In Oil
POAS – pee on a stick (usually for HPT and sometimes OPK)
SA – Semen Analysis
SubQ – Subcutaneous injection (a.k.a shot in the tummy)
